Simon Jupe BSc

Simon graduated from Exeter University with a 2:1 honours degree in Chemistry. During the final year of his degree, he was awarded a prize for the quality of a mathematical equation solver which he designed in the Fortran programming language.

Simon worked for Britannic Assurance during his university vacations, gaining experience in the review of personal pensions. After leaving university, he spent a few months working in this area for London & Manchester, before returning to the team at Britannic. At the same time, Simon started studying for the actuarial exams and he is now a part-qualified actuary.

After about a year, Simon moved to PPP Lifetime Care, a specialist in long term care insurance. Working in a small actuarial department, he became experienced in several areas of actuarial work, including product pricing and profit testing.

Since joining MJSAS, Simon has concentrated on systems development, although his work often has an actuarial slant. He has also been involved in further contracts in both the pensions review and the long term care market.
